formation of an association for Systems administrators

Defence Minister is seeking the intervention of PMO for the demands made by the three chiefs. Do you expect our Minister for state or the apex body has such concern towards the lower rung officials?. I had many doubts on this issue. What are your feelings on this.

Now to the maximum extent, all the 839 Post offices(GPOs+HPOs) in the country would have been computerized. So in the context I expect we should have at the least 839 mail ids taking a single administrator for each post office. But we are having a list of 185 id's.
So for our efforts to bear fruits or to better acceptance and pressure on the administration the remaining system administrators also should be included in our struggle so that we can have a combined voice and a single demand on various matters.
Point 2
The Union leaders at higher level should be made alive about our problem and also make an impression upon them that there is a demand from every Postal division. This can made only when every division level leaders projects their divisional System administrators demands at Central Level.
Point 3
In future department is going towards Anywhere banking and the work of System Administrators becomes much more difficult and much more sophisticated. So working norms should be worked out.
Point 4.
A Proper platform should be formed so that problems/harassement being faced by the administrators can be taken up for redressal.


Point 5
System Administrators should be identified separately and not on par with the Postal Assistants. They should be identified as a separate cadre either with distinct pay or some progressive increment/incentive. They should be rightly compensated for their efforts and the loss they undergo.
Point 6.
Working norms should be clearly laid out so that in future when the work load goes on increasing new System Administrators can be identified without pressuring the present System Administrators
Point 7.
This association becomes a bridge for having proper discussions with higher authorities for any demands from our side and also for the authorities will have a proper representative from our side for seeking our help or any suggestions from our side in any aspect.
Point 8
Various other minor points which will be later revealed to all of you, including a mail received my question the justification for allowance/increment or pay.

As the 6th CPC review committee meeting is fast approaching we need to act swiftly. Hence we shall have a combined decision and should be able to lay our demands before the last date. So to include every System Administrator of this department in this struggle, we have decided to address every System Admin through either ILC/Postcard. Total number of people to be addressed is 822 HPO+ 17 GPOs+ 441Postal Divis+37 ROs+22 COs = 1339 @ of 1 person of each office.

We preferred to go for ILC campaign, but providing funds to it is becoming difficult by me alone or by the whole group. Hence as a last resort we decided to raise funds through from willing contributors. If any of you feel it is worth of carrying it please respond. If the response is not encouraging please don't expect any more mails from me as there is no more to do as a group which is a moribund.
